As part of my research on particular archival practices of Afro-Caribbean cultures, I had the chance and the honor to give a conference (online) as part of the Caribbean Studies Seminar Series hosted by School of Advanced Studies University of London on March 19, 2024. The conference is now available online. I explore the developments of my work around the storyteller as archivist of repetition and abolitionist figure who creates, with his community of interpretation, the sensitive conditions of a place to come from the weaving of scattered stories and attempts of emancipation.

This conférence is part of the project «Distant Islands, Spectral Cities» that I am developing within my Banister Fletcher Global Fellowship at the University of London in Paris.

Dans le cadre de ma recherche autour des pratiques d’archive propre aux cultures afro-caribéennes, j’ai eu la chance et l’honneur de donner une conférence (en ligne) dans le cadre de Caribbean Studies Seminar Series accueillie par la School of Advanced Studies University of London le 19 Mars 2024. Cette conférence est à présent accessible en ligne (en anglais). J’y explore les développements de mon travail autour du conteur comme archiviste de la répétition et figure abolitionniste qui crée, avec sa communauté d’interprétation, les conditions sensibles d’un lieu à venir à partir du tissage d’histoires dispersées et de tentatives d’émancipation.

Cette conférence fait partie du projet « Distant Islands, Spectral Cities » que je développe au sein de mon Banister Fletcher Global Fellowship à l’Université de Londres à Paris.
