Le livre Another Ghost Party retrace la collaboration entre l’artiste Manon de Boer et la chorégraphe Latifa Laâbissi, débuté en 2016. C’est un peu histoire des fantômes qui habitent leur travail de Lygia Clark à Frantz Fanon, de Beyoncé à Pier Paolo Pasolini. Je connaissais les films de Manon, Latifa est une amie, alors j’ai accepté de glisser mes propres fantômes dans leur histoire. Avec « La nuit des objets », je pose une question simple et pourtant insoluble : « que font les objets quand nous ne sommes pas là pour les déranger ? » C’est une histoire de science-fiction animiste, une histoire du cinéma qui entre dans le salon avec le train des images, une histoire de la chambre et de l’abandon, de la cuisine et de la parole des femmes, du cellier où se cachent ce que Fred Moten appelle les objets parlants. Une histoire de la nuit où une peau court et la police court après cette peau.

Another Ghost Party retraces the collaboration between artist Manon de Boer and choreographer Latifa Laâbissi, which began in 2016. It’s a bit of a story about the ghosts who inhabit their work from Lygia Clark to Frantz Fanon, from Beyoncé to Pier Paolo Pasolini. I knew Manon’s films, Latifa is a friend, so I agreed to slip my own ghosts into their story. With « Objects at night » I ask a simple yet intractable question: « What do objects do when we are not there to disturb them? » It is a story of animist science fiction, a story of cinema that enters the living room with the train of images, a story of the bedroom and abandonment, the kitchen and the words of women, the cellar where are hidden what Fred Moten calls speaking objects. A story of the night where a skin runs and the police runs after this skin.
