Joachim Ben Yacoub m’a invité à discuter pour le journal néerlandophone Recto/Verso de la fièvre décoloniale qui a saisit ces derniers temps jusqu’aux plus respectables des institutions culturelles belges – et qui fait tout autant se déhancher les vieilles maisons de l’art français. J’ai profité du fil de cette conversation pour approfondir quelques variations décoloniales comme autant de politiques du récit et de la cacophonie, de présences qui troublent et de lieux qui s’enfuient. Joachim Ben Yacoub invited me to speak about the decolonizing fever that has recently infected even the most respectable old Belgian cultural institutions for the Flemish-language journal Recto/Verso—a subject that has been exciting the venerable old houses of the French art world just as much. I took advantage of the thread of this conversation to go deeper into a few decolonial variations in terms of the politics of story and cacophony, of troubling presences and places that flee—where the minority body must invent personal distance, stakes and landscapes.
